Who I Am
Hello,
My name is Kim Meyers and I'm a librarian. I like writing and researching. I have endless curiosity and like creating things to help express that curiosity.
I have three soon to be four family history books self-published and have plans for a fourth one in the future. I have 18 years of experience in researching and documenting my family history. I also enjoy collecting photos of my family, it is fascinating to compare how the present generation looks to the past generations, especially with different lines, especially with half-cousins.
I was a writer for FanFicNation and then LooseLugs. I enjoy fiction writing as much as I do history writing. I especially like re-creating certain endings of stories because I didn't like how that character died or how it ended. (Sorry, Captain Trevvie shouldn't have died at the end of Season 3 of the Musketeers...) I also created lectures to use in the classroom because I enjoying sharing knowledge and information.
I worked in a library and for many years was a substitute teacher on the side. The years as a substitute teacher made me curate lists of YouTube videos for use in the classroom. Sometimes I would show YouTube Videos in the classroom if I know of something that was related to what the students were studying at the time. I took that one step further by creating worksheets to go with those videos. Now I'm sharing what I've collected and done over the years on this website.
