For Wisconsin Teachers who have a Wisconsin History Class to take - Around the Corner with John McGivern is a fantastic series where he goes around the state visiting Wisconsin Cities. Each episode kicks off with a history of the city by John Gurda and John McGivern explores the city going into businesses and talking to the residents. Each episode concludes with a 30 clip of the mayor or city administrator talking about what makes their town so great. This is a quick worksheet that students can fill out while watching an episode of this series.
I would use this series in the classroom, especially if there is a Wisconsin history class.
Available on Milwaukee PBS YouTube Channel.
The Royal Archives digitized the papers of King George III and posted them online. George III is often misunderstood and this papers help shed light on the King. I created this assignment to allow students to explore those papers.
Feel free to download and use in your classroom.

Hello and welcome to my portfolio of my non-library work. I am a genealogist and thoroughly enjoy historic research. If I think of a topic, I usually research it out. Over the past decade I also discovered that I have a creative streak that I never knew I had.
My first post I will feature something that I did in High School: a textbook on the Romanovs focusing on the Tsar Nicholas II. I got into the Romanov family watching a documentary on Anna Anderson and researched them out.
It was in 1998 when Russia buried the Last Tsar and members of his family. The story of their murder caught my attention and made me fall in love with history.
Sadly, I did not know that I should cite my sources, however I did get a lot of the material from the Alexander Palace Time Machine and the Livadia website.
I'm a librarian with an active imagination who likes to create. Genealogist and Researcher.
My Teachers Pay Teachers Store! Worksheets available as a Word Document.
I am also on Lulu! If you're interested in genealogy I have two books available!
